Well, I know it is on the site, but I thought I would get things started.
Here is the finish arcade with a 25" TV and yes I put in cup holders. :P

Here is the marquee.

Hardware
PC - 2.66Ghz, 800FSB, 2G DDR.
25" TV.
Altec Lansing speakers and Sub.
X Arcade XXL controller. This was a steal! Everything the Tankstick has, but only $100.00!
Linksys wireless adapter. I have wifi at home so I figured it would be easier (and cool) to be able to have internet access on the arcade.

Software
Windows XP
MAME32 Scroll to the middle of the page.
GameEx front-end

Tools Used
Jig-saw
Table-saw
Clamps
T-square
Tape-measure
Brad-gun, I preferred this over using wood screws because they counter sink on their own....no pre drilling or wood plugs. This will save ALOT of time. If you don't have one, then rent one ($50) ,or buy if your have the $2000.00 to spend on a good air compressor and brad nail gun.
Thanks Dad for letting use your tools, and helping out when I had NO clue.

Supplies
2 = BCX plywood sheets.
4 = 2x4s
2 = Casters
1 = Wood glue bottle
1 = 10 in. Florescent light
1 = 6' rope light
1 = Half Gallon Blue gloss latex paint (plenty left over)
1 = Really small can or Apple Red high gloss latex paint
1 = Half Gallon Black gloss latex paint
1 = Half Gallon Primer latex paint
1 = Paint Brush and roller, Use a foam paint roller for the sides.
1 = 24.25 x 5" Acetate for marquee
1 = 28 x 48 " Plexi glass (Some left over)

Plans
This is what I used. I made some modification to suit my personal needs, like the controller being too low cause am a tall. Otherwise, great plans! Arcadecab.com has free plans.

It is a start. It took me about a year to finally get the time to build mine. When you have yours up or want to post new pics, go ahead and make a new topic rather than a reply to this one.

Thanks for the props too! :D

Hey Chris, I love your cabinet, and I love your web page! You've got me really excited to try this project for myself. It's always been a dream of mine to have an arcade machine in my basement, ever since I was a kid. a friend of mine had an actual moon patrol (I think that was the game) cabinet in his basement and I thought that was the coolest thing ever. It was so great to play an arcade game and not have to put quarters in! :)

anyway. thank you so much for this site. I'm really stoked. I saw that you got your x arcade controller for 100.00? was that a used item? I'm looking on thier website and it's showing a price more like 200.00. any insight on that?

Thanks!

Jeremy

Thank you for the compliment! :D
The controller was called the XXL, but they messed up on the dimensions of it (it is design to be used with their arcade kit) and wanted to make some of their losses back, so they sold the XXL at cost. I didn't even get charge for shipping! 100 busk was it. I got lucky. :P
